Job summary

Excelsior University seeks part-time clinical instructors to deliver fully developed courses, provide prompt student feedback, and supervise clinical experiences across assigned units.

Instructors must complete required training, adhere to policies, and coordinate patient assignments while using EHR and other clinical technologies. The role carries a $5,000 compensation per term, with bi-weekly payroll and tax withholding as applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s in nursing or BSN with ongoing enrollment toward advanced nursing degree.
• Active NYS RN license and current BLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience in varied clinical areas.
• Experience supervising nursing students or new graduates.
• Familiarity with educational technology and teleconferencing.

Responsibilities

• Complete institution-sponsored training and adhere to policies.
• Work weekends at a clinical site during an 8-week course term (total hours specified).
• Coordinate patient assignments and supervise student clinical experiences.
• Provide prompt feedback and evidence-based examples to students.
• Complete rubrics and participate in pre/post clinical activities via Canvas and Zoom.
