Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a part-time Cook Supervisor for the Stryker Medical South location in Portage, MI, Saturday and Sunday 6:00 am–6:00 pm. Previous supervisory and cooking experience required; online applications accepted. Pay range $23.00–$24.00 per hour.

Direct supervision of food-service associates, adherence to recipes and HACCP guidelines, and coordination with management on purchasing and waste reduction are key responsibilities. Full benefits available for associates.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises food-service associates.
• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment per procedures; stores and labels food items; follows HACCP guidelines.
• Helps serve meals and gathers customer feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
