Job summary

Grant County Weed District #3 is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to coordinate weed control activities, work with landowners and the public, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on organizing programs, supervising field operations, and maintaining district documentation.

Responsibilities include inspecting sites for noxious weeds, educating stakeholders, and coordinating with county officials and contractors. Retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Possess or be able to obtain a Washington State Public Operator License.
• Reside within the boundaries of Grant County Weed Control District #3.
• Be able to identify common noxious weeds and understand effective control methods.
• Experience communicating with the public.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district weed control operations and programs.
• Conduct field inspections and identify noxious weed infestations.
• Educate landowners, residents, and stakeholders regarding weed control requirements and best practices.
• Maintain records, reports, and district documentation.
• Coordinate with county officials, landowners, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and district policies.
