The part-time web Designer / Developer is a key position within the Communications Department and reports to the Assistant Director of Communications and External Engagement. This position is responsible for the design, organization, functionality, accessibility, navigation, and overall usability of the University Health Center’s website, the Well-being Resources website, and other websites in the Well-being Resources Portfolio. Serving as the primary technical resource for website development, maintenance, and support across the University Health Center and Well-being Resources portfolio, this position applies advanced technical knowledge to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex web, database, hosting, and application issues. The position independently manages multiple web-based projects and provides technical recommendations to department leadership regarding website functionality, accessibility, user experience, and related technologies.
This position works closely with clients to ensure the website supports the instruction, research, and outreach initiatives that sustain the unit’s overall mission. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of the UHC Staff/Policy Portal, external websites, and web-based programs as well as user support, database architecture and management, server management and troubleshooting, cloud services architecture, and API integrations related to UHC business operations.
