Job summary

Computer-Systems-Institute in Charlestown, MA seeks a Part-Time Web Application Development Instructor to teach courses and deliver curriculum with Project-Based Learning. The role includes preparing lesson plans, lecturing, and guiding students through assessments while reporting progress to the Academic Dean.

The instructor will manage up to 27.5 hours per week, support student growth, and participate in quarterly trainings and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is required.
• Five years or more of industry-related experience preferred.
• Three years or more of HTML/CSS/JS experience.
• Three years or more of Python/Django experience.
• Three years or more of SQL experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cyber security basics.

Responsibilities

• Teach the listed courses and planned curriculum.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL).
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Assess and monitor student progress; report SAP to Academic Dean.
• Attend instructor meetings and participate in program improvement efforts.
• Provide academic advising support to students.
