Job summary

Computer Systems Institute in Charlestown, MA is seeking an Adjunct Communication Instructor to teach courses such as The Art of Storytelling, Small Group Discussion, and Interpersonal Communication, delivering in-class instruction with approved curriculum.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, assessing progress, and reporting SAP to the Academic Dean/Program Manager, while attending campus meetings and pursuing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, or two years of related work experience with training.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 27.5 hours week.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL) on business topics.
• Assist students in the learning process.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress using assessment tools.
• Report SAP progress to Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Attend quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
• Participate in professional development outside CSI.
• Organize field outings for student enrichment per module.
• Contribute to program improvement via committee work.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, English, or a related field
