Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a warehouse selector for our distribution team to accurately and efficiently pick products for Wegmans stores. You will rely on strong attention to detail and teamwork to ensure service excellence.

Overnight shifts consist of four 10-hour days. You will operate pallets, forklifts, and Vocollect, audit orders, and maintain cold-chain integrity while lifting 20–25 lb on average and occasionally more.

• Experience operating pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pallets are built safely and efficiently to maximize trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and Vocollect.
• Perform order audits for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards for all products.
• Inform management of daily quality issues via reports.
• Maintain cold chain integrity on loads with temperature requirements.
• Lift 20-25 pounds on average; may exceed 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.

Work schedule: Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per week.

What You'll Do

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements
• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect

Note: Frozen positions earn an extra $2.00/hour.
