Job summary

Wegmans Warehouse is seeking an Operations Supervisor to coordinate tasks, supervise a team across receiving and order picking, lead crew performance, schedule shifts, and drive daily warehouse operations serving over 100 Wegmans stores.

You will ensure inventory accuracy, uphold cold chain and food safety standards, and identify improvements to reduce costs and boost productivity while maintaining quality and employee safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading a team.
• Computer skills.
• Prefer prior distribution center/warehouse experience.

You will oversee a team of employees in various roles who are responsible for receiving vendor products and picking orders that will be delivered to our stores. Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for long periods, some sitting, occasional lifting, some heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching in a variety of warehouse settings in a fast-paced environment. May use power industrial trucks and/or be asked to select product and load trucks (see RSC Selecting, Loading, Inventory). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. The work environment is indoors and may involve exposure to cold (33° – 55°) and/or freezing (-20° – 20°) temperatures. Protective clothing is provided. Basic tools and equipment used include handheld telephone and computer.; Store Operations Leadership experience at a high volume store or other Distribution Experience; Experience at the Team Leader or Specialist level; Experience working in Logistics or related field; Bachelor's - Logistics Management; Experience with the Warehouse Management System
