Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate in Reno, NV to perform receiving, verification, and packing duties. The role involves inspecting shipments, labeling, and handling transfers between warehouses under safety guidelines.

The position requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and may require a valid driver's license and certifications for powered equipment. Overtime may be needed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within required time frames.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items if required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs, etc.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity by visual inspection or counting.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve item discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move product as needed.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away bins, overstock, and racks.
• Train cross-functionally in other departments to support business needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality targets.
