Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Reno, NV (Whse). The role involves receiving tasks, inspecting shipments, and verifying items against POs, within a fast-paced environment.

You will operate basic warehouse equipment, stage products, and participate in cross-functional training while upholding safety and quality standards. Compensation starts at $22.00/hr, with benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and an ability to operate standard warehouse software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required in some locations.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity through visual inspections, counting, reference manuals or measuring instruments.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging, and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels using item numbers or purchase orders, and scan labels into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) to load/unload and move product.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away bins, overstock and racks.
• Cross-train in other departments to support business needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality expectations.
