Job summary

Tatine, Inc. is seeking a part-time Warehouse & E-Commerce Assistant in Chicago to support daily order fulfillment and warehouse operations. The role is 20–30 hours per week with weekday shifts from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in person.

Tatine is an independent fragrance and candle brand based in Chicago. We're looking for an ambitious, dependable new colleague to join our team as a Part-Time Warehouse & E-Commerce Assistant (approximately 20-30 hours/week), with potential to grow into full-time for the right person.

Our warehouse headquarters are located in Chicago's Hermosa / West Logan Square neighborhood, inside the historic Hammond Organ Factory building - a thoughtfully repurposed industrial building filled with creative studios and small businesses. There's an on-site coffee shop and a strong community feel.

This is an in-person, on your feet role in Chicago. Hours fall within weekdays between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a set schedule agreed in advance.

All positions require a background check.

Pay and training period

Starting pay is $20/hour, with a six-week introductory and training period. At the end of six weeks, we'll do a check-in to confirm continued fit in the role.

Core responsibilities

• Pull, pack, and ship DTC orders daily using the Shopify platform with speed, care, and accuracy
• Pack orders thoughtfully so they arrive secure and presentation-ready (gift notes, gift wrap included)
• Support our Wholesale Accounts Manager by pulling and packing heavier wholesale orders with absolute accuracy (reading and understanding invoices and packing slips)
• Receive deliveries, unload palletized freight from trucks, verify packing slips, and report discrepancies
• Help maintain inventory accuracy and support basic counts/daily with weekly updates
• Assist with hands-on product prep work such as assembly, basic quality checks, cleaning, labeling, and packaging so SKUs are shipment-ready
• Assist with ongoing warehouse upkeep and production support (sample kits, labeling, cleaning wax from glassware for reuse, breaking down boxes, recycling/trash, and keeping the space clean and safe after each shift)
• Communicate clearly and professionally with our Customer Experience team through Slack regarding order notes, changes, discrepancies, or corrections
• Jump in on the small, daily tasks that keep the warehouse running smoothly, no task is beneath you
• Be punctual and dependable, and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and help unload palletized deliveries with comfort using a pallet jack (trainable!)
• Shopify platform experience is preferred, but we're happy to train someone with strong computer skills and a willingness to learn.
