Job summary

Christian Community Service Center in Houston is hiring a part-time Warehouse Assistant/Driver (21 hours/week) to support food pantry operations and transport supplies. You will help keep the warehouse organized, assist with inventory, and safely drive agency vehicles.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Texas driver’s license with clean MVR, forklift certification, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Texas Driver’s License with clear driving record; must pass MVR check and drug screening.
At least two years of experience driving a box truck and transporting heavy bulk items with a manual pallet jack.
Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
Must be able to move and transport objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Proficient in Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and pantry, sorting, shelving, and rotating stock per food safety guidelines.
Assist with inventory management and restocking pantry shelves.
Safely operate agency vehicles to pick up food purchases and donations from partners and suppliers.
Deliver food and supplies to pantry locations in a timely, safe manner.
Load and unload donations and deliveries, handling perishable items carefully.
Maintain CCSC vehicles by fueling, inspections, and keeping clean.
Assist Manager as requested and scheduled.
Participate in staff and Council meetings and assist with special projects/events.
