Job summary

The Brazos Valley Food Bank in Bryan, TX is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Worker/Forklift Driver to unload, receive, and prepare food orders for distribution.

You will work with the Inventory & Facility Manager to maintain storage, oversee volunteers, perform cycle counts, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations.

The role requires a valid driver's license, forklift experience or willingness to train, and the ability to pass background checks and basic computer tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license (Class A/B/C) or ability to obtain.
• Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks and forklift.
• Willingness to complete required certifications after employment.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain clean driving record.
• Ability to perform basic computer tasks (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
• May require drug screening during the hiring process.
• Strong communication with vendors, staff, and partner agencies.
• Willingness to obtain Food Handler’s and Civil Rights certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inventory cycle counts and unload donations accurately.
• Receive donations and log items properly.
• Pull and wrap orders, supervise volunteers on warehouse tasks.
• Maintain product location and FIFO practices.
• Assist with facility maintenance and safety inspections.
• Operate and inspect pallet jacks and forklift equipment.
• Assist in loading orders into vehicles and maintain paperwork.
