The City of Raleigh invites applications for a permanent part-time Community Engagement Technician to support Volunteer Services. You will assist coordinators with volunteer management, recruit volunteers, and help develop partnerships across parks, greenways, and facilities.

Work involves outdoor activity, weekend hours, and some evenings. A valid NC driver's license is required within 60 days. High School diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in recreation, childcare, sports or related field.
• Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
• Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Drive to and from volunteer projects across the City; a City Permit will be required to meet this requirement for the position
• Conduct on‑site volunteer training and supervise volunteers participating in volunteer opportunities
• Assist with the management of volunteer databases and paperwork
• Prepare online volunteer event postings in the online volunteer registration system (CERVIS)
• Assist with requests from individuals and groups to coordinate volunteer opportunities
• Promote and market the Volunteer Services Program with online marketing tools
• Assist with developing partnerships through community outreach efforts
• Contribute to special projects as assigned
