Job summary

RowanEDC Partnership in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a Park Operations Specialist for a part-time role (1,000–1,500 hours annually). The position reports to the Parks and Recreation Department and involves skilled work across grounds maintenance, event support, and facility operations.

Working nights and weekends may be required; a valid NC driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certification are required or obtainable. This role is on-site with the Parks and Recreation team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have NC driver's license or ability to obtain before hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification required or ability to pass certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, litter pick-up and trash collection.
• Operates equipment such as utility vehicles or tool-cat after training and safety requirements are met.
• Assists with routine cleaning and custodial duties.
• Provides manual labor assistance for special events, including transporting equipment or operating tool-cat to load/unload.
