Job summary

The Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for a part-time, on-site role in Issaquah. You will manage volunteer scheduling, onboarding, and driver programs, acting as the main contact for volunteers and supporting recruitment efforts.

You'll coordinate registrations, maintain records across programs, and collaborate with the Volunteer Engagement Lead to ensure a positive volunteer experience and smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Create volunteer registration pages for programs and events, following timelines and requirements.
• Monitor the volunteer inbox and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally
• Coordinate coverage for absences and last-minute cancellations via phone, email, and text.
• Support scheduling needs across ongoing programs, special events, and seasonal initiatives.
• Grocery Rescue Driver Program: Serve as primary coordinator for volunteer drivers, monitoring schedules and route coverage.
• Recruit and coordinate substitute drivers, and communicate schedule updates and reminders.
• Onboard new drivers and coordinate their training by following established procedures.
• Respond to inquiries and support new volunteers through onboarding.
• Proactively recruit to fill vacancies and urgent needs, supporting recruitment efforts led by the Volunteer Engagement Lead.
• Serve as primary point of contact for individuals seeking Court-Ordered Community Service opportunities.
• Contribute to volunteer appreciation and retention efforts.
• Systems & Administrative Support: Maintain accurate volunteer and driver records, databases, and reports; learn and use various software platforms across the organization.
• Coordinate registration and scheduling platforms, including recurring schedule updates.
