Unitek Learning is seeking Part-Time Vocational Nursing Instructors to join our team in California. The role requires weekend clinical availability and offers an hourly pay range of USD 50.00 minimum, USD 55.00 midpoint, and USD 60.00 maximum.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach.
• 3 years bedside experience with RN/BSN.
• 6 years bedside experience with LVN/Associates Degree.
• Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Experience demonstrating current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings; ability to work independently without close supervision; broad knowledge of nursing sciences; effective communication; current knowledge/experience in clinical setting.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative teaching methodologies.
• Demonstrate or acquire skills for online activities to enhance course content during interactive teaching.
• Review and revise syllabus for specific course within program and guidelines.
• Submit program reports and forms to Director in a timely manner.
• Maintain currency with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms; assist with data collection.
• Update and maintain student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements.
• Teach courses at various times and locations as needed.
• Teach both lecture and clinical rotations (days/evenings, weekdays/weekends).
• Participate in professional development and CE hours; stay current with college updates.
• Participate in committees as assigned, considering teaching responsibilities.
