Job summary

AoPS Princeton Academy is hiring part-time Teaching Assistants to support our campus during the 2026–2027 academic year. TAs assist with grading, office hours, and on-demand tutoring for students in a virtual format while residing in NJ.

Ideal candidates have strong math and language arts skills, can work independently, and communicate clearly with students and instructors. This role offers after-school/evening hours with occasional campus materials pickup.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Strong math and language arts skills with the ability to help students navigate advanced concepts.
• Ability to work well independently with little supervision.
• Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication.
• Positive and encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable asking questions.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum is not required, but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Host weekly office hours and on-demand tutoring sessions for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Provide exceptional feedback on graded assignments.
• Collaborate with instructors and full-time staff on student and classroom needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
