Job summary

AoPS Academy's Lexington Campus in Waltham, MA is hiring part-time Teaching Assistants to support math and language arts sessions during the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a virtual position, primarily evenings, with a weekly schedule Sunday to Thursday, 6:30 PM–8:30 PM ET.

Ideal candidates are at least 16, enjoy helping students, and can work independently. Strong math and language arts skills, plus excellent communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Strong math and language arts skills with ability to help students navigate concepts
• Ability to work well independently with little supervision
• Experience with/interest in working with younger students preferred

Responsibilities

• Host weekly office hours and on-demand tutoring sessions for students.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback on work.
• Run on-demand 1-on-1 tutoring sessions.
• Collaborate with instructors and full-time staff on student needs.
• Other duties as assigned
