Job summary

All Pets Veterinary Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire is seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist to join our busy, family-like practice. You will greet clients and patients by name, triage concerns, and help maintain a calm, fear-free environment.

The role is part-time with a pay range of $17–$20 per hour. Candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary industry experience and be highly organized, a strong communicator, and proficient with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients by name, answer questions, and triage concerns.

• Answer calls, emails, and texts with solutions to client questions about their pet(s).
• Recognize and triage medical concerns for timely urgent needs.
• Provide compassionate emotional support during times of need.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Greet and welcome clients and patients personally by name, answer their questions, and triage concerns.

Observe signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in animal patients and offer solutions to promote a fear-free experience.

Answer incoming calls, emails, and text messages with solutions to client’s questions and concerns about their pet(s). Recognize and triage medical concerns so urgent needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Offer clients compassionate emotional support during times of need; must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
