East Bullitt Animal Clinic in Mt. Washington, KY is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments, provide compassionate patient care, and help maintain a clean, organized clinic.

You will administer medications and vaccines as directed, prepare exam rooms and equipment, run basic diagnostic tests under supervision, educate clients, and keep accurate records. This role offers growth opportunities to move into full-time hours.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as Veterinary Assistant.
• Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
• Positive attitude with attention to detail and passion for patient care.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments.
• Provide compassionate care for patients of all sizes and temperaments.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the team.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests under supervision (lab work, radiography).
• Educate clients on basic pet care and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and keep the clinic clean and organized.
