AmeriVet's Shadow Hills Pet Clinic in Sun Valley, CA is seeking an experienced part-time veterinary assistant. You will room patients, assist in surgery, monitor during anesthesia, draw blood, and perform in-clinic lab work. A positive team player with strong client communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Surgical assisting experience.
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories (TPR).
• Restraint and handling of animals; client education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist in surgical procedures.
• Monitor and recover surgical patients.
• Draw blood and run bloodwork.
• Place IV catheters and assist with anesthesia.
• Perform digital radiography positioning.
• Laboratory work with HM5, Vetscan, Sedivue.
• Provide clear client education and maintain a positive team environment.
