Shadow Hills Pet Clinic in Sun Valley, CA seeks an experienced veterinary assistant for a part-time role in a fast-paced practice. You will assist in surgery, monitor anesthesia, perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, and radiology work while delivering compassionate client education.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of clinical veterinary experience and a positive, team-oriented attitude ready for a dynamic environment with AmeriVet partnerships.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Surgical assisting experience.
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories (TPR).
• Assisting doctor and technical staff with restraint.
• Blood draws and IV catheter placement.
• Digital radiology and anesthesia handling.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing for examinations.
• Assist doctors and staff with procedures and restraint.
• Monitor anesthesia and surgical recovery.
• Draw blood and run basic in-clinic tests.
• Position for and take radiographs; discuss results with clients.
• Educate clients and support CSR duties as assigned.
