Job summary

The Salvation Army Veteran Services in North Las Vegas is seeking a Part-Time Veteran Care Technician to coordinate and deliver comprehensive services to veterans under VA contracts. The role reports to the Veteran Services Coordinator and supports intake, discharge, counseling, and employment readiness while ensuring confidentiality and grant compliance.

Qualifications include an associate degree in a human service field or related experience, experience with veterans, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Human Service related discipline is required, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with homeless and/or at-risk veterans preferred.
• Experience in case management and/or individual counseling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse group of residents, staff and partners.
• Must have a valid Nevada Driver License and clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Veteran status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with facility rules.
• Provide support services to veteran residents.
• Assist with intake and discharge processes and client orientation.
• Enter data accurately into the HMIS system.
• Coordinate care with VA personnel for eligibility and health services.
• Maintain and report progression of veterans through the program.
• Oversee medication management.
• Assist veterans to identify needs and access services.
• Assist with employment readiness services.
• Perform interventions and crisis-oriented services.
• Attend team meetings and trainings.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
