Huntington Ingalls Industries' Mission Technologies division at Nellis AFB, NV seeks a Part-Time Flight Simulation Trainer 5 to serve as a Variable Air Threat Simulator (VATS) Fighter SME within the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center (JITTC-N). The individual will operate the VATS simulator from cockpit or console to support USAF Weapons School, operational test units, and deployed squadrons.

The role requires on-site work, flexible shifts, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 15+ years with Bachelor's, 13+ with Master's, or 19+ with HS.
• Active or recent military fighter pilot.
• On-site work required; TS clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Operate VATS simulator cockpit controls and debriefing system.
• Coordinate with Weapons Officers and IPs to meet training objectives.
• Provide subject matter expertise in threat air tactics and planning.
• Lead small teams to achieve customer requirements.
• Report issues and perform basic troubleshooting.
