Job summary

Merchants Bank in Hastings, MN is seeking a part-time Universal Banker I (20-25 hours per week). Hours will vary to cover branch hours Monday-Friday and a Saturday rotation, based at the Hastings branch with occasional coverage at nearby branches.

You will provide exceptional customer service, process banking transactions, open deposit accounts, and offer a range of banking products to meet customers' financial needs.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable with extensive customer contact.
• Sales experience and ability to multi-task and prioritize are required.
• Customer service and cash handling experience required; banking experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Open and maintain basic checking and savings deposit accounts.
• Process banking transactions in the Teller area.
• Open, close and maintain safe deposit boxes.
• Serve as a Vault Attendant if needed in the Branch.
• Report to Lead Teller if more than 50% Teller work is required; may be placed in the Teller Department.
• Provide exceptional customer service and proactively offer banking products and services.
