Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow on the unit.
• Process patient orders.
• Prepare and disassemble patient charts.
• Prepare forms and documents required for patient care.
• Communicate unit-related and/or patient-related needs.
• Request and obtain supplies and equipment.
• Answer phones and greet visitors.

Education

Business school or Associate Degree in Business

Certification as a Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC)
