Job summary

Allied Universal, Elkton, MD, is seeking a part-time Security Guard Unarmed/Patrol Driver to protect clients across healthcare facilities. You will perform routine interior and exterior patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 21+ years of age, and at least one year of security experience. A background check and drug screen are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
