Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA seeks a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and safeguard client sites, deter incidents, and provide outstanding service to employees and visitors.

You will perform unarmed patrols across offices and common areas, manage access control, and respond calmly to incidents while maintaining accurate logs and shift handoffs. The role offers flexible Fri/Sat scheduling and the chance to grow within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly; document observations and inform site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and support visitor/employee/contractor entry per site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information.
