Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol) in Ashburn, VA. You will deliver customer service to students, staff, and visitors while conducting routine security duties and patrols on a government education location.

The role requires following school protocols, maintaining a visible security presence, and assisting with incident response. A background check and drug screening are part of employment considerations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other members of the school community while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify hazards and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assist with campus traffic flow while reporting suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to site leadership and management.
