Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Birmingham, AL. You will patrol healthcare facilities, deter security issues, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

This role offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform, with duties including monitoring access points, logging incidents, and responding to alarms per location procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe facility activity, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
