Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a shopping center in Newport Beach, CA. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while patrolling pedestrian and vehicle areas.

A valid driver's license is required for driving posts, with flexible evening shifts and weekend options. As part of a responsive team, you’ll observe, report, and communicate effectively with tenants, visitors, and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license in the state of California.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns in a calm, professional manner and follow reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and policy violations.
• Document incidents and patrol observations accurately and communicate with site management and leadership.
