Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a government location in Woodside, NY. You will patrol assigned areas, manage access control, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities include incident response, documentation, and reporting. The role emphasizes integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government sanitation operations location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, vehicle areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
