Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a government location in New York, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, perform patrols, control access, and provide courteous service to residents, visitors, and staff while upholding safety protocols.

The role offers a part-time schedule with day shifts and requires NY Security Guard License, 1 year security experience, and HS diploma. A background check and drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, entrances, common areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and maintaining awareness of authorized personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders according to established protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
