Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Kyle, TX. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with a schedule including weekends and day shifts.

This position is ideal for gaining hands-on experience while building toward greater security responsibilities. The job requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and background checks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain awareness of vehicle, pedestrian, and freight movement throughout the location.
