Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed Patrol Fire Watch) in Charlotte, NC. You will patrol, deter incidents, and assist tenants and visitors while delivering excellent customer service and reporting security concerns promptly.

The role offers flexible part-time hours and a focus on safety, integrity, and community presence at a commercial real estate location. Prior CPR is preferred and a background check, drug screen, and license requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and help support authorized entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.
