Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to provide professional customer service, deter incidents through visible patrols, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors in a welcoming environment.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM) and requires at least 2 years of security experience, a high school diploma, and a background check. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience or law enforcement/military police/corrections background.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, tenants, visitors, and clients while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate shift information to leadership and site contacts.
