Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Richmond, VA to provide dependable, flexible hours at an assigned site. Earn $17.17 per hour with a fixed 'Anchor Shift' commitment and additional shift opportunities through our scheduling platform.

This role offers part-time hours with potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week, ongoing training, and a path toward full-time employment at a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, common areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
