Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time in Richmond, VA. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, allowing you to grow while you work.

You will perform security procedures, monitor access, respond to emergencies, and uphold site policies at a government facility. A valid armed guard card, 21+, and a high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government facility by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit activity, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies while performing armed duties.
