Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a behavioral healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health crises, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.
• Support a welcoming environment for individuals receiving services while maintaining professional boundaries and coordinating with site staff and emergency responders when needed.
