Job summary

Allied Universal® in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining a secure environment for a financial institution location. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, working a flexible day schedule with shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM according to the site.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and, ideally, prior law enforcement or military police training, plus

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with established entry and identification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
