Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) with an active DoD Secret Clearance to protect aerospace/defense sites. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, manage access control, and deliver professional service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

This role features flexible day and night shifts, a pay rate of $26.27 per hour, and opportunities for training and advancement within North America’s leading security and facility services

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply state/local.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at aerospace/defense locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Report security concerns and policy violations per established procedures.
