Job summary

Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is hiring a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to protect aerospace and defense locations. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide courteous customer service while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at aerospace/defense locations by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and observing entry/exit activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate contacts as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications per Allied Universal and site requirements.
