Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard in Reston, Virginia. You will patrol unarmed, monitor entrances, assist employees and visitors, and uphold site policies while delivering courteous service in a fast-paced technology environment.

This role offers a $21.00 per hour pay rate and a flexible schedule through our shift-claim platform. Candidates must meet minimum requirements, including a high school diploma and background check; a driver license is required for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned areas to deter incidents and report observations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site policies; document visitors and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established procedures and notify appropriate contacts.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports and logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site policies; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
