Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Unarmed Driving Patrol to serve transit customers in Jamaica, NY. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm, professional demeanor while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers flexible day shifts, a path to growth within a leading security provider, and training opportunities to advance within the organization. A valid NY security license is required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Background check and drug screening may be required by law.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of bus facilities, transit property, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to authorized areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and complete required reports.
