Texas Health Mansfield is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a part-time role performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in alignment with provider orders and protocols.

The position emphasizes patient care across all ages, accurate documentation in EMR/PACS, infection control, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging and patient safety. Weekend shifts are included with time-off differential as applicable.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques.
• Ability to use EMR/PACS and basic computer skills.
• Excellent patient care and communication across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness; obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and operate transducers to obtain optimal images.
• Document in EMR and PACS; maintain workflow and data integrity.
• Explain procedures and educate patients about the exam.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain infection control.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and safe; perform safety checks.
• Complete ultrasound technologist worksheet with findings.
• Sterilize transducers and maintain hygiene.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
