Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and protocols. You will verify patient identity, obtain clinical history, position patients and operate transducers to acquire optimal images and data.

Document findings in the EMR and PACS, educate patients, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation.

Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Experience with Doppler and vascular imaging preferred.
• Proficient in PACS, EMR, and radiology software systems.
• Strong patient care, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across all age groups with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and collect clinical history before scanning.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Document findings in EMR and PACS accurately and timely.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Maintain equipment sanitation and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with radiologists for accurate interpretation.
