Job summary

Edneyville Elementary in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a part-time Tutor (General) to provide instructional support to students in small groups and one-on-one settings. The role runs as a temporary position with a starting date of 11/02/2026 and ending 5/28/2027, offering $15 to $25 per hour.

The tutor will collaborate with classroom teachers, monitor student progress, and incorporate digital tools to tailor tutoring sessions to student needs while maintaining a safe and engaging learning

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework.
• Teaching licensure (Current or Expired) to receive higher rate of pay.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a classroom teacher is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement high-quality tutoring experiences for students that include assessing students’ individual needs, providing individual and small group instruction, and supporting the use of digital tools during tutoring sessions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to determine specific student needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with the staff about student progress.
