Job summary

Edneyville Elementary in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a part-time Tutor (General) to provide instructional support to students in small groups and one-on-one settings. The role runs as a temporary position with a starting date of 11/02/2026 and ending 5/28/2027, offering $15 to $25 per hour.

Qualifications

Temporary Part Time No Benefits

General Definition of Work:

Provide instruction to students in small groups and individually

Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework
• Teaching licensure (Current or Expired) to receive higher rate of pay

• Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General Knowledge of daily routines of the classroom.
• General knowledge of student handbook rules.
• General knowledge of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency.
• General knowledge of the curriculum for the grade.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when student is participating in an inclusive activity.
• Ability to motivate students.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Ability to operate common office machines.
• Ability to maintain basic files and records.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.

Essential Functions:
