Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a Part-Time Tutor in Suffield, CT to advocate, mentor, and guide students in reading, math, and writing. You’ll work with school personnel, communicate with parents, and implement Company-approved instructional methods using tailored materials.

Responsibilities include diagnosing skill deficits, developing lesson plans, attending trainings, and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or 48 semester hours.
• Licensed tutors: CT teacher credentials recognized by the State of CT.
• Tutors must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services to students.
• Communicate progress to parents and conference about student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training and deliver instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision and safe escort of students to sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files per Company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend and document meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals and parents.
